PIERCE COUNTY NOXIOUS WEED BOARD INFORMATION

OBJECTIVES:

  1. To promote, through public education, the control of all weeds on the State weed list, in particular Tansy Ragwort, Knapweed complex, Poison hemlock, Gorse, Purple Loosestrife, and Dalmatian Toadflax.

    Programs include participation in local fairs and shows, news releases, lectures, slide presentations, and the supply of informative pamphlets and brochures to the public.

  2. To continue our comprehensive survey of all Timber lands in Pierce County for the purpose of identifying all locations of Tansy Ragwort and other listed noxious weeds.

  3. To enforce the regulations as set forth in the Revised Code of Washington 17.10; Noxious Weed Control Boards.

From I-5 take Puyallup exit 512 exit heading East.
Exit at Portland Ave. turning Right.
Turn Right at first light onto 112th. Travel approx. 1/2 mile.

We are located across directly across 112th from Franklin Pierce High School track and field.
