Description:
Spotted Knapweed is a biennial or short lived perennial with a stout
taproot. It has one or more stems up to three feet tall. The plants
produce a pinkish-purple flower at the end of each branch. Bracts
have dark spots tipped with fringe. Leaves are finely divided.

The plant may need to be cut several times, during growing season,
to prevent seed production.
